Born to William A Foster and Sophia Whitmore. She married Oscar Nicholson on August 2, 1895. Her husband died suddenly in his early thirties. Her three children where raised by her parents after her death.
Mrs. Millie Nicholson died yesterday at Kern City. Her body will arrive here today for burial. Mrs. Nicholson was the daughter of W. A. Foster, who at one time ran a photograph gallery at No. 925 I Street and who is now located in Point Richmond.
The Funeral of Mrs. Millie Nicholson, wife of Oscar Nicholson at the time he was killed on his own engine on the Southern Pacific at Tahachapi, will be held this morning at 11 o'clock. The funeral will be from A.O.U.W. hall and the services will be in charge of Rev A.P. Brown of the Baptist church and of the Rebekahs. Mrs. Nicholson leaves three children, Elwin, Eugene and Vernon aged 9, 7 and 2 years respectively, two sisters, Mrs. Jona Bedford and Mrs Lee Stout, and four brothers Robert, Henry, William and Frank Foster of Point Richmond. She was the daughter of W. A. Foster and his wife, formerly of Fresno.
