Fern was born to William and Amanda Pryor Fowler in Monroe County. She was a retired pastry cook at Indiana University and a member of West 11th St. Pentecostal Church. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Kilgore and Stella Eads, three sons, Leon, Paul and Herman, three brothers Harry, Raymond and Robert Fowler, two sisters, Lucille Kendall and Maxine Shook, and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy Orville Baker in 1969, a sister Margaret Palmer and three brothers, Fred, Pat and Rodney Fowler. Services will be Thursday at Allen Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Douglas officiating, with burial in the Clear Creek cemetery.
