When John was about 23 he married Helen Larnford in 1858. The couple had 13 children: Guyant Fowler, James Fowler, Clary Fowler, Amy Fowler, Savana Fowler, Givn Fowler, Dallas Fowler, Mack Fowler, John Fowler, Hardie Fowler, Ella Fowler, Guiera Fowler and Annie Fowler.^[2]
