Daniel was born in 1824, South Carolina. Daniel first married Catherine [last name unknown]. They had one child John Franklin Fowler. Catherine died in 1860 at age 32. He then married Malissa Otts. They made their home in Alabama where they raised six children and were together until Daniel passed away on March 4, 1897. He is buried at Old Corinth Cemetery, Lamar County, Alabama.[1] Malissa died in1906 and is buried next to Daniel.
