Biography

Aileen Lenora Fowler b. 9 Sep 1933 d. 6 Nov 2011, was the second wife of Woodrow Wilson Satterwhite b. 3 Oct 1912. She was the daughter of Daniel Green Fowler and Martha Lurene Palmer and the sister of Elsie Ora Fowler Woodrow's first wife.

Obit: Aileen Lenora Fowler Satterwhite, 78, departed this life Nov. 6, 2011. Aileen was born Sept. 9, 1933, to the late Daniel and Martha Palmer Fowler in Damascus. Her loving and devoted husband, Woodrow Satterwhite, preceded her in death. Aileen was predeceased by three brothers and four sisters and her grandson, Camron Chwalinski. Her sister, Naomi (Dewey) Beavers of Monticello survives her. Left to cherish her memories until the time of heavenly reunion are her daughter, Judy (Chuck) Chwalinski; and sons, Jeff (Charlene) Satterwhite, Joel (Donna) Satterwhite, all of North Little Rock; stepsons, Kenneth (Donita) Satterwhite of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Larry (Janis) Satterwhite of Mountain Home. The greatest joys of her life were her grandchildren, who spent many Saturday mornings gathered around her on the front porch swing, Jennifer Satterwhite, Rebecca (Chris) Puckett, Rachel (Robert) Barnett, Sarah Satterwhite, Patricia (Merle) Tullos, Clayton Chwalinski, Carson Chwalinski, all of North Little Rock, Aimee (Larry) Cross of Grand Prairie, Texas, Tina Bartley of Houston, Texas, Tara (Jody) Pannell of Atlanta, Ga., and Shain (Tammy) Satterwhite of Harrison. Aileen is survived by 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Aileen touched numerous lives with her warm wit and generous heart working as a home health aide for many years. Her clients were like family to her and besides bringing to them warm smiles and good company she shared countless pots of beans and pans of cornbread or a mess of greens. It never surprised her family if there were lonely souls sharing holiday dinners with them at the family table or for her and Woodrow to give a less fortunate, down on their luck somebody a place to stay for a little while. Mama enjoyed life to the fullest and shared many good times with her friends. The family would like to thank the nurses and aides at Robinson Nursing and Rehab who cared for and loved our mother. Mama, you gave your hand to God and slowly drifted away, knowing that with our love we will be together again some day. We got you Mama.
