Biography

Jonathan Fowler was born on 12 Dec 1737 in Rowley, Massachusetts, the son of “Dr. Philip and Margaret.”[1][2]

In 1754, during the French and Indian War, he was likely the Jonathan Fowler of Captain Peter Power's Company from Hollis, New Hampshire, "...in expedition against the French forts at Crown Point on the western shore of Lake Champlain."[3]

In 1758, also during the French and Indian War, he was likely the Jonathan Fowler of Colonel John Hart's Regiment from Portsmouth, New Hampshire, "...a part of which was ordered to join in a second expedition against Louisburg and the remainder to serve on the Western Front."[3]

Lucy Kemp and Jonathan Fowler, both of Hollis, New Hampshire, married 20 Sep 1762.[4]
