Biography

John was born on March 20, 1805 in Raleigh, NC. He was the son of David Fowler and Rachel Crenshaw. He married Caroline Oldham on May 14, 1839. Caroline passed away on August 2, 1839. He married Louisa Irene Oldham on September 12, 1840 in Memphis, TN. They had 3 children. Louisa passed away in 1851, possibly due to complications from childbirth. He married Rosetta "Rose" Minter-Eagle on January 6, 1858. He was an Episcopalian. He passed away on January 12, 1870 in Memphis, TN at age 64. He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
