On February 3, 1884, Almira married Thomas Christenbury in Burke County, North Carolina.^[3]

In 1900, Almira was living with her husband and children in Quaker Meadow, North Carolina. Also in the household is her sister Jane and a "Guy Fox" born 1900, presumably her child since he is listed as Almira's nephew.^[4]
