Ironmonger, of Stamford, Lincolnshire, "where he realised a handsome fortune in business."
Marriage and family
On 1 February 1819 he married Mary Ann Wright, with issue. She died in 1833.

Death and burial
He died on 22 March 1855 at Stamford, of paralysis, aged 70.
