Margot was born on 16 February 1926 in Frankfurt. She was the daughter of Otto Frank and Edith Holländer. [1] In 1944 the family was betrayed and they all were taken to Camp Westerbork, on 3 September 1944 the family was transported [2] Margot was three years older than her sister Anne. Where Anne was known as quite busy and extrovert, the older Margot was more serious and tidy. After the war, she wanted to emigrate to the then Palestinian Territory to become a maternity ward nurse. Just like her sister Margot also kept a diary, but it was never found. [3] Margot and Anne both ended up in Camp Bergen Belsen where they both passed away in February 1945. [4]
