Researchers Notes

Removed Thomas H. Franklin Franklin-12339 as the father of this Dicey Franklin. His daughter was born February 7, 1857. [2]

Geni indicates that Dicey E. Franklin was born February 7, 1757, in Stafford county, Virginia, a daughter of Lewis Franklin, of Bedford county, and his wife, Jane Franklin: https://www.geni.com/people/Dicey-Hale/6000000006929987092 This logic seems faulty, as Lewis Franklin lived and died in Bedford county. Franklin-1003

FamilySearch.org indicates that Dicey is the daughter of John Franklin Franklin-11655 who lived and died in Connecticut, which is indeed suspect: https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/M1Y9-WLT

4th g-grandmother of Sue Howard.

Other children of Dicey Franklin and Benjamin Hale.

  • Mary "Polly" Hale 1787–1868
  • Lucretia Hale 1792–1846
  • Elizabeth Hale 1793–1875
  • Brice Hale 1797–1868
