Research Notes
There were two Nehemiah Franks in the 1850 Laurens County, SC census record.
The one born about 1784 was the son of Robert Franks and Elizabeth Unknown and the other Nehemiah Franks born 1778 was the son of Nehemiah Franks and Mary Peake. So there were two Nehemiah Franks there at the same time but they were two different men. The Find A Grave Memorial #152971432 is for the Nehemiah Franks, Sr. who died in 1799 and is not relevant to this issue.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Nehemiah by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nehemiah:
I have taken the liberty of removing all ancestors and descendants of Franks-2967 and ensuring that they have been correctly attached instead to Franks-1107. This should make it very easy for merging Franks-2967 into Franks-1107 and clear all this confusion up.
Franks-2967 and Franks-1107 appear to represent the same person because: Looks like multiple duplicates have been created for this family. Clean-up on Isle 6! Mags
I am wondering why the son is listed as private? I want to work on merging away the duplicates and with this one private, It will hold up the process. Can you open the profile of the son please? Thanks, Mags
Hello, I have a copy of the Frontispiece Pages of the Franks Family Bible. It lists Nehemiahs Birthday as December 3rd, 1776 and has his death (from Cancer) as March 23, 1852. It lists his wife as Jane Simmons, b. February 25, 1783. They had 10 Children. Samuel being one, but I do not see a Marshall, though it only gives first names of the Children.
