There has been no PROOF offered for the ancestry of Richard Dotson of Shenandoah Co., VA and Tyler and Doddridge Co., WV. Some have said that Richard Dotson was married four times. The first wife was supposedly Sarah Jeane Holliday mother of Peter Dotson, Sarah Dotson, William Dotson (md. Mary Franks) and John R. Dotson, all of whom, except William were killed by Indians . . ."^[2]
