Peter was born in 1765. He passed away in 1853.
[1]
Peter was born on 22 July 1765 in Salem, Augusta (later Botetourt, now Roanoke) County, the seventh of nine children and eight sons (of his eight siblings, only the youngest was a boy) of Michael and Magdalina Zug Frantz.[2]
[He probably did not marry until he was in his thirties; he was about thirty-eight when his first child, Sarah was born. The name of his first wife is unknown.] (Unsourced and incorrect.)
"Peter Frantz married, first, Catherine "Peggy" Garst, daughter of Johann (John) Nicholas Gerst (Garst) and Marie Elizabeth ?Statthalter? ... about 1792 as his first child of record was born in 1794. [Peggy] was the mother of all his children."[3]
On 27 May 1833, at the age of 67, he married for a second time, to Margaret Beaver Stover, the widow of Dr. Johan George Stover, son of Elder Wilhelm/William Stover/Stover. After she died a few years later, he married a third time, on 13 Jun 1839, to Catherine Margaret Garst [sic, Catherine was his first wife].[4] "He married, third, Sarah Pleasants, 13 Jun 1839, in Fincastle, Botetourt Co., VA."[5]
At some time he became a pastor in the German Baptist Brethren church and he died in his late eighties in Botetourt County, Virginia.
In his will dated 22 Jul 1853 Peter named as heirs his third wife Sarah, seven daughters and one son Nicholas, and designated Christian Wertz as executor. The will was probated 21 Aug 1854 in the County Court of Roanoke County VA.[6]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Peter by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Peter:
Frantz-830 and Frantz-374 appear to represent the same person because: same/similar birth, the wife seems to be the same, also, alternate spelling of her name
