1942: Registered on 28 Oct. in Dauphin PA, the Delayed Birth Cert. of his son, Paul A. FRANTZ who would have been 45 at the time, Cruthers was unemployed at age 76 and lived at 675 Valencia St, Los Angeles, CA. Paul lived separate from him at 5601 E. Vis San Delarro, Los Angeles, CA. He apparently had moved to California just before the death of his 1st wife in 1914 when he was 48 years old and then married his 2nd wife. The Certificate was sighed by both Paul and Cruthers. Why Paul needed his birth cert. is unknown. [3]
1950: A Cruthers T. FRANTZ, age 85 of PA and widowed, was a patient at Bay Shore Sanitorium, Manhattan Ave., Hermosa Beach, Los Angeles, CA. [11]

Death Date: 25 Oct 1953 at age 66 [12] He was living with his oldest son, Irvin O. FRANTZ at at 2201 S. Artesia St, Long Beach, CA but spent almost 2 months at County Harbor General Hospital, Torrance, Los Angeles, CA. before his death from pulmonary edema. [12]
