Hugh married Margaret McGregor in 1833. At the time of their marriage, they both lived in London Township, Upper Canada (Ontario).[1]
At the time of his second marriage to Christy McEwen in 1839, he lived in Williams Township, Upper Canada.[2][3][4]
At the time of his death in 1893 in Ailsa Craig, Ontario, Hugh was a blacksmith.[5]
