Biography

Sophia was born in about 1868.

At the age of 17 she married Richard Dighton Walden, who was aged 39 and a widower, on 24 April 1886 in Foxton, New Zealand. Her parents were Emmanuel Fraser (who signed as being an Engineer) and Ann Killen.

They had at least six children:

Deighton (b. 1888)

Harold (b. 1890)

Alfred (b. 1892)

Bert (b. 1898)

Edward (b. 1900)

Eric Charles Walden (1900-1952)

Her husband Richard passed away in 1903 at the age of 58. She is a beneficiary of his last Will and Testament, along with his two sons Richard and William.^[1]

Sophia probably passed away in 1943 at the age of 75.
