She married at St John's Church at Hobart, Tasmania, Australia to William Gillespie on September 21 1855. Her name was recorded as 'Harriet Annie FRAZER'. [1]
One child's birth is recorded in 1858 listed simply as 'M' (male) Gillespie [2]
and a second birth on 28 April 1861, Mary Elizabeth [3] .
Harriet and her family sailed to New Zealand arriving at Nelson between 1861 and 1863 based on births of children.
Three more children were born to Harriet and William, daughters Janet, Annie Jane and a son John Maitland.
Harriet spent her married life in Blenheim.
Harriet died in 1917 at the Osmond Private Hospital in Blenheim, age 80, two years after William's death. She is buried at Omaka cemetery.
