In the 1871 census Barbara (age 65), Farmer's Mother, was the mother of John Hopburn in Bracoden, Gamrie, Banffshire.[2]
In 1881 Barbara (age about 69) was living in Gamrie, Banffshire, Scotland. Relation to Head of House: Mother[3]
Research Notes
The death entered as Kiltarlity in 1882- not finding an entry or inforomation as to why she was there, as her children seem to have in the main stayed in Gamrie, Banffshire. This was where she was in 1881.
