George Bean McDonell Fraser was born on 28 June 1894 in Chatham, New Brunswick, Canada to George Fraser and Blanche Brydon-Jack.
George was the youngest of 8 children, his mother passed away shortly after his birth. George went to public Grammer schools in his youth and Graduated University in absentia due to being at war in France.
In 1914 George along with some classmates joined the army. First with the 23rd Field Battery for training in Fredericton. He was killed in action on 23 July 1917 at the Battle of Vimy Ridge. At that time he was stationed with the 2nd Brigade Canadian Field Artillery.
George is buried in La Targette British Cemetery Neuville-Saint-Vaast, Departement du Pas-de-Calais, Nord-Pas-de-Calais, France. [1]
