This man, my ggrandfather, a farm ploughman, married Deborah Ross, on 13 Jul 1860, at Muirton of Dalvey, Dyke, Moray, Scotland. They had three children, Mary (1860), William (1863) and Francis (1866). He must have lived and worked away from Dyke most of the time (possibly in the parish of Alves). He was not present at the birth registration of any of the three children, whose registers only had their mother presence and signature.

He seems to have worked also at the Chemical Works, the superphosphate (the new chemical manure) makers, on Forres, as "Manure Storekeeper", on 1880. In his marriage certificate (1860), his parents are noted as John Fraser (deceased) and Mary McDonald, and his age as being 24. Apart from these facts, nothing else is known about his origins, whereabouts or destination. Any help on those would be most appreciated.
