In 1900 he appears simply as Thomas Fraser[1] he was living in Borough of Brooklyn, Election District 15 New York City Ward 21, Kings, New York, United States with his parents. Both he and his father are listed as florists.
Frederick is listed as the son of James A. and Charlotte Fraser, according to a 1910 census[2] that has a Fred T. Fraser living with his family in Morris, Morris, New Jersey, United States. It says the family immigrated in 1884 which may put Frederick's state birth date of 1885 back a year. The whole family were born in England. The father was a "superintendent" and * Fred and assistant superintendent but of what is not stated:

There is a reference to a Thomas F Fraser, born 1885 in England (first and middle name reversed) in the 1940 census. He was a proprieter of a florist shop[4], that records a daughter Doris E. Fraser. The other daughter Charlotte was an interpreter at a factory. The family were living in Huntington Town, Suffolk, New York, United States:
