Biography

David Frazier (II) was the fourth child of Samuel and Rosannah Frazier. He was born about 1778, probably in Berkeley, County, Virginia. Like his brothers he came to Roney's Point as a youth and spent his entire life there. He married Nancy, whose birth surname is unknown, about 1801. The names of their children suggest that her parents were names James and Isabella. David, like his grandfather of the same name, owned books on religion and daily religious practice. He died in either October or November 1834 in Ohio County. [1] His wife Nancy was alive when he wrote his will in 1834, but had died by the time his estate was settled in 1849.

After the death of David, his widow Nancy became head of the Frazier household. The U.S. Census of 1840 enumerated a household of four. This was Nancy and her three youngest children, Margaret, William, and John Creighton Frazier. The six older children had already established households of their own.[2]
