Adelbert Ernest Freeland, son of Gersham and Beatrice G. (Smith) Freeland, was born on 2 Jan 1942[1] at Pennsylvania, USA.

Army Pvt. Adelbert E. Freeland, 18, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gersham Freeland, Route 2, Elkland, Pa., recently was graduated from the 101st Airborne Division Jump School at Fort Campbell, Ky.
Freeland received his parachute wings after completing three weeks of intensive ground and aerial training.
He entered the Army in October 1958 and received basic training at Fort Dix, N. J.[2]
Adelbert died on June 4, 1988[1] and was buried at Highland Cemetery, Elkland, Tioga County, Pennsylvania.[3]
