William Freeman of Batsford, Worcestershire was the third son of William of Ebrington, Gloucestershire. His first wife was said to be a daughter of one of the Stratfords of Farmcote, Gloucestershire. [1] According to the Visitation of Worcestershire, he secondly married Anne Washbourne of Wichenford. [2]
William and his brother Thomas acquired land in the Blockley parish, in the hamlets of Aston Magna and Batsford early in the 16th century. [3]
