William Posey Freeman was born on March 4, 1912, in Poplar Bluff, Butler County, Missouri.[1] He was the son of George Freeman and Cora Agnes Bannon. At age 7, he was in his parent's home in Johnson, Ripley County, Missouri, along with his siblings, Columbus-15, Evelyn-5, Eunice-3, and Hazel-1.[2]
He married Sible Pearl Freeman (1913-1993) on October 10, 1929 in Butler County, Missouri.[3] They had 2 known children.
At age 18, he was married to Syble-16, and working as a laborer for the Electric Light Service in Benton Harbor, Berrien County, Michigan.[5]
He Married Laverne Helen Zachary (1915-2015).
They were living in Benton Harbor, Michigan in 1954, where he was working as a Crane Operator.[6]
He died on January 24, 1979, at the age of 66 in Benton Harbor, Berrien County, Michigan,[7] and was buried in the North Shore Memory Gardens in coloma, Berrien County, Michigan.[1]
