Freeman-1146 and Freeman-760 appear to represent the same person because: I agree that the citations on Freeman-1146 don't provide proof of the marriage between Mary Freeman and Thomas Henchman. They refer to unsourced family trees. However, I think it would make more sense to start a Research Notes section on Mary's profile and note that the relationship still needs to be proven. This would prevent the profiles for Thomas and his son from becoming stand-alone profiles w/out any connections. Of course, if proof is found that the relationship doesn't fit, then we'll need to figure out where Thomas Henchman, Jr. and his father belong.
Also, this doesn't seem to be a reason to reject the merge. The profiles for Mary still appear to represent the same person, and it looks like Mary's birthdate is an estimate. Again, a note could be made on her biography to indicate that it's believed to be sometime from 1549 to 1551.
What are the issues with the dates that you noticed?? I'm not familiar with this family, but the estimates for Mary's birthdate fit with her parents, her husband and her marriage date. What am I missing??? The 1549 date seems more likely, given that one brother was born in 1551 -- unless, of course, they were twins.
Freeman-760 and Freeman-1146 do not represent the same person because: There is no evidence that Mary, daughter of Henry Freeman, married a Thomas Henchman. Her name is only known from his will which simply refers to the children of his daughter Mary, Dates also make this extremely unlikely. This Mary will be disconnected as a child of Henry Freeman with full sources and explanations in the next couple of days. If there is any primary evidence to support the identification, then the merge can be put forward again; however, currently no such source exists.
