Biography
Ann Freeman was born sometime around 1700. There are no primary sources to verify her date of birth. She was born in Lower Norfolk County, Virginia as her parents, William and Mary Cording Freeman did not move to Chowan Precinct until 1717. They settled land along Catherine Creek. Michael Ward was already in the area. Ann married Michael. A grandson of Ann's was named William Cordin Ward, which helps to confirm the parental relationship.
