George Freeman was born on 19 Feb 1896 in Houston, Perry, Arkansas, United States, son of Robert P Freeman and Eva Ann Reeder.

George died on 31 Dec 1980 in Martinez, Contra Costa, California aged 84.[4] He is interred in New Auburn Cemetery, Auburn, California.[5]
