Biography

  • Hannah was born in Feb. 17, 1791, the daughter of Peleg Freeman and Hannah Deane[1] [2]
  • 28 Oct 1810, she married Jacob Brown, the son of Jacob Brown and Sarah McLearn[3], and had a son
  1. Simeon Freeman Brown, 1811–1898[4]
  • Jacob died before 1813
  • Circa 1813, she married Andrew Dukeshire, 1792–1869, the son of Georg Tuchscherer, 1758–1836, who was a Hessian, an auxiliary regiment from Germany, engaged by Britain to fight on the British side during the American Revolutionary War, who settled in Clements, Annapolis County, Nova Scotia after the American Revolution, and married Mary White, the daughter of Andrew White and Mary Bailey of Annapolis County, NS.[5], and they had children, including:
  1. Edward DUKESHIRE 1814–[6]
  2. Mary DUKESHIRE 1816–[7]
  3. Margaret DUKESHIRE 1820–[8]
  4. Mehitable DUKESHIRE 1825-1895[9]
  5. Eliza DUKESHIRE 1828–[10]
  • Hannah Freeman died June 7, 1872 in Milton, Queens County, NS[11]
