Biography

Born October 14, 1703.^[1][2], she was the daughter of Nathaniel Freeman and Mary Howland of Eastham.

On May 7, 1725, she married Elisha Freeman, the son of Samuel Freeman and Bathshua Lothrop^[1], and their children included^[3]:

1. Eunice, born July 5, 1727^{[4] [3]}
2. Mary, born April 4, 1729^{[5] [3]}
3. Lydia, born February 6, 1730^{[6] [3] [1]}
4. Simeon, b 28 Feb 1733 in Rochester^[3] , who married Patience Wood^[1]
5. Elisha, b February 12, 1734 in Rochester^[3]; who married Mary Waterman of Liverpool on July 1, 1762^[1]
6. Barnabas, b January 21, 1737 in Rochester^[3]; who married Thankful Dennis of Rochester on Nov. 15, 1759^[1]
7. Nathaniel. b 05 Mar 1739 in Rochester^[7][3]; who married Hannah Tupper of Liverpool, NS on April 20, 1776^[1]

The 2019 edition of the Brewster Silver Book does NOT include Patience or Hope as children of Elisha and Lydia Freemen. Their (11) children are listed as: Eunice, Mary, Lydia, Simeon, Elisha, Barnabas, Nathaniel, Phebe, Lothrop, Lothrop, and Zoeth.^[14]

Lydia Freeman, wife of Elisha died on December 30, 1755^[15]

In 1759, Elisha Freeman, along with John Doggett, Samuel Doggett, and Thomas Foster, on behalf of themselves and the other persons hereinafter mentioned, have made application to for a township within this Province^[16]. The Liverpool records show Elisha Freeman was a widower when he emigrated to Liverpool with six sons and three daughters^[1]
