Biography

Lillian Julia Freeman was born on 30 Nov 1910 in Montpelier, Stanislaus, California, United States, daughter of Robert P Freeman and Eva Ann Reeder.^[1]

In the 1920 census Lillian (age 9) was the single daughter of Robert P Freeman in Oakdale, Stanislaus, California, United States.^[2]

Lillian married George W Kirksey on 29 April 1928, at her parents' home in Modesto.^[3]

In the 1930 census Lillian (age 19) was the wife of George W Kirksey in Stockton, San Joaquin, California, United States.^[4] The marriage seems to have ended around the mid-thirties, as George had remarried and had another child in 1936.

In the 1940 census Lillian (age 29) was the divorced head of household in San Francisco, San Francisco, California, United States.^[5] She has a boarder named Frank Pe[d]erson, and he and Lilian married on 22 Nov 1940.^[6] It's not clear how long this marriage lasted, but Lillian's death records and obituary all named her "Lillian J Kirksey".

Lillian died on 30 Jul 1978 in San Francisco, California aged 67.^[7] She is buried at Cypress Lawn Memorial Park in Colma, California, with her son who predeceased her.^[8]
