Biography

Probably born in St Kitts or Jamaica. She was a cousin of William Freeman the merchant.^[1]

Note that the Appendix 1A to the book containing William Freeman's letters implies that Sarah was his sister and therefore the daughter of William Freeman Senior - however William junior clearly refers to her as "cousin" in the letter no 290, as well her referring to "[her] brother" and her "friends and relations" so her precise parentage at the moment is unknown. Could she, for example, have the been a daughter of Thomas Freeman?
