Abraham freer is the 2nd born descendent of Hugue (Hugo) Freer and Jeanne Wibaut. His first brother born Abraham in 1668 died in 1669. There are many family trees and Profiles confusing these two. Abrahams first two sisters died at ages 1 and 3 suspected as victims of the Plague. His Half brother Hugo immigrated to the US with new wife Jean Wibut after the death of the first Abraham. It is suspected that Hugo first wife expired as a result of childbirth as she died when Hugo was born. The family were Huguenots fleeing the Palatinate.
This family is covered in Doherty, Frank J. "Settlers of the Beekman Patent, Dutchess County, New York", p. 5:377. A footnote on this page says that it is brief in the early generations because of the "well documented" article on "The Descendants of Hugo Freer" in NYGBR (1902), p. 31. It suggests that Hugo came to America about 1665 probably from Normandy. --Jrich 17:56, 17 October 2011 (EDT)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Abraham by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Abraham:
Yep, I completed the merge after making sure that all of the necessary ducks were in a row. FWIW: You can find out who did what on a profile, and when, by looking under the Changes tab.
There are two profiles for that man, the Freer-832 profile that you created and the older profile Freer-513. They still need to be merged, but for now I have connected the profile that you created to his parents.
Before connecting him to the parents, I felt it necessary for the profile to have a source that documented his parents and his LNAB. To get that, I looked up his baptism in the Kingston church records book (by Hoes) under the date of 11 August 1706 that appeared on both profiles, and I added a citation to the profile. (Note: That book and some of the other best sources for New Netherland are readily available for free on the Internet, but you will not find them on Ancestry.com. WikiTree maintains resource pages like Baptism and Marriage Records of the Dutch Reformed Church of New Netherland and Beyond to help members find reliable sources and document the sources and their content in profiles -- please do not expect -- or wait for -- a Project Leader to do the research and the typing for you.)
The dates currently shown for the marriages of Hugo Freer do suggest that Abraham's mother was the first wife, but there may be different information that supports Abraham being a son of the second wife.
Patricia Wardell presented detailed information about the two marriages of Hugo Freer. She has him marrying Jeanne Wibau in Mannheim, Germany, on 22 Jan 1667, after the first wife (who he married on 2 Oct 1660) died from the plague. It's not clear where this information came from, but she does cite a Dutch-Colonies list posting that refers to a letter from M. Dominique de la Barre de Raillicourt, Genealogist, de l'Academie Nationale d'Histoire, Paris, so that person is likely to have been her source.
