Biography

No record of Mark's birth exist, however as his mother (Sophia) lived with him in the 1841 Census^[1], it is assumed his father was Thomas French ^[2]

Mark was 13 when he was a Resident of his brothers house in Arlington Sussex in 1841 along with 6 family member^[3]

Between 1851 and 1861 Mark was still living with his brother where he was working as an Agricultural Labourer ^{[4] [5]}

He married his wife Ruth Geall during 1864 in Lewes, Sussex, England. ^[6]

He was living in Hailsham, Sussex in 1871 with his wife, and 2 children Harry French (6) and Albert French (2) ^[7]

By 1881 Mark and Ruth had added another child to the family, Frederick French, at this point the youngster was 9 ^[8]

Mark sadly passed away in 1892 at the age of 64 ^[9]
