Mrs. Lyda French Fisher, 70, of 741 Wedgewood Ave., died this morning at her home after a heart attack. She had been ill for five years with diabetes and a heart ailment.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Martin's Funeral Home.

The Rev. Priestly Miller, pastor of Harpeth Presbyterian Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home.

A native of Bowling Green, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Lafayette and Elizabeth Cole French. Mrs. Fisher was educated in the schools of Bowling Green. She moved here 45 years ago.

In 1910, she was married to Ember S. Fisher, Sr., of Nashville. Mr. Fisher, a retired engineer of the L&N Railroad, survives.

Mrs. Fisher was a member of South End Methodist Church and of the Eastern Star.

In addition to her husband, survivors are a son, Ember S. Fisher, Jr., Nashville; four sisters, Mrs. Jess Miller, and Mrs. Betty Miller, both of Indianapolis, Mrs. Carter Stice and Mrs. Hilry Houchins, both of Bowling Green; a brother, Holly French, Indianapolis.
