Biography

Methodist Episcopal Minister; Capt 14th Maine Regiment; Shot in leg at the battle of Baton Rouge New Orleans on August 5, 1862; drowned when the Whitman sank in the Mississippi River. Body recovered on august 9, 1862 buried in Carrollton Cemetery, New Orleans

French-3861 and French-4194 appear to represent the same person because: I'm happy to say that this gentleman is my mother-in-law's Great grandfather. I have just received original documents that I'd be happy to share.
