She married Philogene Doucet at the Opelousas Court House on 14 March 1898 and at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Chataignier on 31 May 1898.[3]
By the time of the 14 June 1900 US Census they had a son named Jasper who, according to the census was born in December 1899 and was six months old at that time.[4]
She died in March 1901 and was buried at Chaumont Cove Cemetery in Soileau.[1][5] Her grave at Find a Grave was initially listed as "Hilojeune Douet".[1] I provided the evidence I had for this being the grave of Mrs. Philojeune Doucet aka Marie Fruge and it has since been noted to be that of Marie Fruge Doucet.
