Alphan Cyprien Fruge was born 20 Sep 1892 in St. Landry Parish to Cyprien Fruge, Jr. and Elodie Langley.[1]
He married Aureline Fruge on 4 Jun 1914 in Evangeline Parish.[2]
Sometime after Aureline died in 1948, he married Winnie Young, the daughter of Aurelien Young and his wife, Calicia Fournerat.[3]
His obituary indicates he died on 24 Jun 1975 at his home in Basile, after a lengthy illness. He was survived by his widow, Mrs. Winnie Young Fruge; one son, Moise of Kinder; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Fruge, and Mrs. Addie Hebert of Basile; Mrs. Joe Elroy Arabie of Baker, LA and Mrs. Judy Clavier of Eunice; one brother, Armas Fruge of Basile; three sisters, Mrs. Harvey Turner, Mrs. Willis Langley, Sr. and Mrs. Lannie Fontenot, all of Eunice; plus 18 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.[4]
