Something odd happens with the 1930 census. There is a divorced Julia Fruge found living in Acadia Parish.[4] The age is off by a bit. What makes it seem that this is her, is that Eugene is living with his daughter Lucinda's family and indicates he is widowed![5]
She died 20 July 1935 in Acadia Parish at the reported age of 60 years which is consistent with being born in 1875.[6] Her death record also indicates that she was born in Basile, Louisiana, which at the time was part of St. Landry Parish, but now is in Acadia or Evangeline Parish.[7][8]
