Euphrosine Fruge was born to Antoine Pierre Fruge and Euphrosine Hebert on 4 April 1818, and was baptized the following 30th of October at St Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas.[1]
She wed Joseph Marcantel in a civil wedding on 18 December 1832.[2]
Almost four years later, they married in the church at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas.[3]
According to The Frugés of Fakaitaic, she wed the Joseph Marcantel who was born in 1792,[4]
however, the church records as well as ages listed in later censuses show that she wed the Joseph of Francois Marcantel's second marriage, the one born in 1811.
Euphrosine died 27 July 1886, and her death is recorded in the records of St. Anthony's Church in Eunice, Louisiana.[5]
