Samuel Fuller Family History Sgt. Samuel Fuller, the posthumously b. son of Lieut. Samuel Fuller and his wife Mary, b. Aug. 15, 1676 at Barnstable, Mass. On Oct. 3, 1700, traditionally assumed to have been at Preston, Conn., but more likely at Chilmark, Mass. on Martha's Vineyard (Dukes County, Mass.), Samuel m. Elizabeth Thacher, dau. of Rev. Rhodolphus Thacher and Ruth Partridge, b. Mar. 1, 1672/3 at Duxbury, Mass. At the time of their marriage, Elizabeth's parents were residing at Chilmark, Mass. where her father was pastor of the Chilmark Cong. Church. Following marriage this Fuller family resided at Mansfield, Conn. where all of the children are recorded.^[6]
