DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Amos by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
Y-chromosome DNA test-takers in his direct paternal line on WikiTree:
There is currently a DNA confirmation statement on this profile that relies on the triangulation of three DNA tests, two of which are for men who died in 1790 (Cornelius Fuller (1710-abt.1790)) and who died in 1932 (Isaac Emerson Fuller (1861-1932)). They could not possibly have taken DNA tests. This is not an appropriate DNA confirmation statement and it should be removed from this profile.
Please see the "Changes" record for this profile. On 22 August 2023, the parents Cornelius Fuller (1710-abt.1790) and Patience (Chappell) Fuller (abt.1709-abt.1751) were removed with no explanation. In March 2024 they were reattached and marked 'confirmed with DNA'. Because there was no DNA confirmation statement, a DNA project coordinator changed the 'confirmed with DNA' entries to 'confident'. An inaccurate DNA confirmation statement was then added and the paternal relationship was changed back to 'confirmed with DNA'.
I have changed both parental relationships to 'uncertain'. I will explain in a separate comment what is wrong with the current DNA confirmation statement and will recommend that it be removed from the profile.
