It is uncertain that John Fuller was born 1520 in Topcroft, Norfolk, England. This will be changed to agree with the Transcription below posted on FIND A GRAVE by Patrina Hill Gotcher Perkins his birth was circa 1515-1518 in Redenhall, South Norfolk District, Norfolk, England. Given that FindAGrave shows 1518 in Redenhall, the date above will be changed to 1518.:[1]

Cemetery notes and/or description:
'St. Mary's [church parish] Redenhall is an elongated Parish bounding the River Waveney in the South and extending some 3 miles to the North, to include Clintergates and other scattered farms. The orginal settlement was probably by the river, where Anglo-Saxon and Danish invaders would have made their entry-hence the name Redenhall, the place in the reeds. ...the Church was built upon a commanding knoll. Excavations in 1858 revealed evidence of an older building on the same site with a round tower, a characteristic feature of Waveney Valley churches of the Saxon and Norman periods. The present building was begun about 1460 and finished in about 1520.

His father was William Fuller.

John married twice:

  1. Ann Collinge in 1547. Together they had 4 children:
    1. Robert Fuller
    2. John Fuller
    3. Alice Fuller
    4. William Fuller
  2. Ann Unknown

John passed on May 03, 1559 in Redenhall, Norfolk, England.

Research Notes

In this research, no wife was identified for John, nor was his birth date given. If others have sources that are not personal family trees, please add them.

John inherited Holland's Close from his father William.[2]

In a will written 4 Feb 1558/9 in Redenhall, Norfolk, England, John named the following children:

  • John, inherited Hollands Close
  • Robert, called "the butcher" and "yeoman"
  • Alice

The will was proven 12 May 1559.[2]

Warning: Check the data. A mother's death date (Kinge-32 died 1514) should not be before one of her children's birth dates (Fuller-89 born 1518).

Mother detached. According to the wikitree profile, father was married twice and there appears no way of determining which wife was the mother of John Fuller.

There are two Find A Grave entries for John - 191397978 and 167065357. One of them provides the possibility that Alice Kinge was his mother.

John appears to have been born c.1520, so his mother couldn't have died in 1514. This date however is unsourced and can potentially be changed. His father appears to have married twice so it's not entirely clear which wife was his mother.

Wives and mother are unsourced. Should be unknown. Unless someone has sources that are not family trees...? Son William does not appear to exist. Any sources?

I am unable to verify information entered by this recent edit as I do not have access to added sources. Not sure about all the added children. Having a secure link or a transcription for the sources would be great is anyone has access to these records.

Thank you.
