George Newell Fuller (1859 - 1921)

Biography

George was born in 1859^[1] in Ely, Cambridgeshire, England. He was the son of John Fuller and Ann Newell. By 1871 the family lived in Doncaster, Yorkshire.^[2] George worked as a labourer in 1881.^[3]

He married Elizabeth Strawson in 1883,^[4][5][6] but she died in 1888 at the age of 30.^[7] In 1889 George married Sarah Jane Strawson – his first wife's sister.^[8] The family lived in Doncaster in 1891, when George worked as a railway shunter.^[9] Sarah Jane died in 1894 at the age of 28.^[10]

At the time of the 1901 census George lived in Doncaster with his parents.^[11] In 1903 he married Sarah Jane Crackle.^[12][13] The couple lived in Doncaster in 1911 with their son, George.^[14]

Sarah died in 1918 at the age of 42.^[15] George died in 1921 at the age of 62^[16] and was buried in Althorpe, Lincolnshire.^[17]

"FULLER George Newell of 7 North-street Doncaster died 24 May 1921 Probate Wakefield 25 Jun to Hannah Mary Moorfoot (wife of Henry Moorfoot). Effects £291 8s. 9d." ^[18]
