I've been interested in the history of my family for as long as I can remember. I loved listening to stories my grandparents told me as a child. A lot of these stories seemed like tall tales but in searching for my ancestors I've learned that most are actually true. I just started my research in April 2016. I can't wait to make new discoveries and solve the many mysteries to my family's past.

Let me explain what will happen if you no longer wish to continue on WikiTree, all of your living profiles will be deleted for privacy reasons, all profiles meeting the 150/200 year rule will be opened up and orphaned so others may adopt them and your personal profile will be deleted. I understand how tough that will be after all the work you have put into building profiles. Is there someone you can transfer your profiles to? If yes, please contact me and I will send you information on how to do that.
Thank you for all of your past contributions and hopefully future contributions.

Welcome to WikiTree! The email you just got from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site youve ever used.
WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!
