John Fuller migrated to New England during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640). (See The Great Migration (Series 2), by R. C. Anderson, vol. 2, p. 598) Join: Puritan Great Migration Project Discuss: pgm
John was the son of William Fuller alias Lockyear and Sarah _______. He was bapitzed 19 May 1617 at Chelmsford, Essex, England.[1] John Fuller, son of William, aged about 15 years, came to America on the ship Abigail, July, 1635, from England, with his brother William, aged about 25 years. [Registration date 4 May 1635][2] John's identity is confirmed by his father's will which refers to "my two sons William Fuller and John Fuller which now are in New England..."[3]
John settled in Ipswich and married Elizabeth Emerson, daughter of Thomas Emerson, who came to America in 1638, settled in Ipswich, and died there May 1, 1681, aged 81.[2]
John Fuller removed to Salisbury about 1639, but returned to Ipswich before 1648, and was town surveyor in 1663; commissioner in 1664, and owned land near Rocky Hill. He died June 4, 1666, at Ipswich, and his widow married, between 1666 and 1672, Thomas Perrin. His will was proved Sept. 25, 1666, and names sons John and William, "who have been sufficiently supplied by their uncle," daughters Susannah and Elizabeth -- "their grandfather hath early given them a portion"; names wife, sons James, Thomas, Nathaniel, Joseph, daughter Sarah, and a child unborn, to have one seventh each, with wife and son James as executors.[2]

I've added a 2002 source on the origins of John and William Fuller which updates the Great Migration sketches. The article (TAG 77:267-70) includes their siblings and grandfather/aunts and uncles if someone was interested in entering profiles for their family in England.
Fuller-9588 and Fuller-88 do not represent the same person because: Hi,
It is possible that the one death record has been taken for both and only applies to one of them... rather than being the same person or two people with same name dying on the same day in the same place.
I am rejecting the merge because my John Fuller had a son James Fuller who married twice (Elizabeth Nowett and then Sarah Elphicke). So while there is no official sources in our family history for John these other records are well sourced with marriage records/ birth records etc etc.
Fuller-9588 and Fuller-88 appear to represent the same person because: While the birth dates are different, I'm struck by the exact same death date and place. Fuller-88 is well sourced; Fuller-9588 has no sources nor does it have any relationships. Shall we merge it away int Fuller-88?
