Frances "Fanny" Funk was born February 24, 1781, in Philadelphia county, Pennsylvania, in what is present day Montgomery county, PA. Note: Before the American Revolutionary War, most of eastern Pennsylvania was part of Philadelphia county. Montgomery County was created on September 10, 1784, from part of Philadelphia County, and named for General Richard Montgomery. On March 22, 1798, Frances married Henry Culp, Jr., a son of Henry Culp and his wife Dorotha [1]
Frances's father was a veteran of the American Revolutionary War, honored by the Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution as Ancestor #A042629.
