  • Peter Funk appeared in 1800 - 1802 in the Brecknoch tax records, and also in the 1800 - 1802 tax records for Shenandoah County, Virginia.
  • After 1802 Michael Funk was not to be found in either the Brecknoch Twp., Lancaster Co. tax records, or the 1800-1805 Shenandoah Co., VA tax records.
  • In 1805 brothers Peter, Phillip and John were residents in Shenandoah Co., VA[9]

  • Georg Friderich Funk and his wife were sponsors to two baptisms. Note - that when George Funk was a baptismal sponsor he used his full name as the child was named Georg Friderich.
  • Recorded on April 16, 1768 were the confirmations of Peter and Michael Funk, sons of Georg Funk, deceased. Note - burials in the Falckner Swamp Church records were only recorded for the years 1748-1751 and 1772 - 1822.
  • Recorded in 1769 was a communion record for Frederick Funk, father George Funk, deceased.[5]

Note - As of May 2023, over 1350+ trees on Ancestory.com based on "Smart" matches recorded George Funk's death date as 9 Nov 1771 without a source. As previously recorded on WikiTree, "He died on 9 Nov 1771 in Philadelphia, Delaware, Pennsylvania.[citation needed]"
