Thanks for joining WikiTree! As a mentor I'm here to help. If you have questions or problems with WikiTree (including your GEDCOM import), contact me via my profile page.
Remember to add dates and locations to new profiles. Our vision is to build a collaborative tree with just one profile per person, so make sure to look for duplicates! http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Duplicates
Hey Matteo Formerly G. - I was asked to stop in to see if I could help you with your "formerly G." Go to the edit tab and look for the G. put your cursor there and backspace. Then hit save. did it go away or turn into unknown/anonymous? Mags
You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree which means one profile per person. It is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree.
You might want to check out the introductory WikiTree video that a member created.
OurMentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.
Good luck growing your tree, and thanks for offering to help with our shared tree.
Enjoy collaborating on WikiTree.
Hello everyone! I am Matteo and I'm looking forward to sharing my family tree. It took uncountable hours of research, I hope someone will find something useful :)
I love the idea of a completely free site for genealogy research.
I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.
If you have any brick walls, collaboration might help bust through. Because WikiTree has onlyone profile for each person, the further back you go in your ancestry, the more likely cousins will find you and help out. ANY Wiki Genealogist can edit "Open" profiles (over 200 years old = open). There's also a brickwall tag in the G2G forum: brickwall
Hey, Just to mention that you may want to create a profile in your own surname, since this enables your profile to find its rightful place in our family tree. Our naming conventions can be found at Name Fields.
I'd like to invite you to join in the "Weekend Chat" on G2G Today!
Share personal successes, stories about ancestors, tips, projects you are working on, or anything esle you wish.
New members stop in and say Hello, introduce yourself, share your story, or ask for help.
Pilots, Mentors, and Leaders of all kinds please add something... your advice is always greatly appreciated.
Hope to see you there!

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
